Heart Murmurs Pro is a cardiac auscultation trainer for medical and nursing students, residents, and anyone studying how to tell heart sounds apart by ear.

Listen to 24 heart sounds and murmurs. For each one, see a labelled waveform showing exactly where the sound falls in the cardiac cycle, a diagram of the auscultation site it belongs to, and the study notes that go with it - then test yourself.

This is a study aid, not a clinical tool. Nothing in it is meant to guide decisions about a real patient's care.

Five sounds are free - normal, aortic stenosis, mitral regurgitation, mitral stenosis and the S3 gallop - each with its waveform, its auscultation site and its study notes, and you can quiz yourself on them. One purchase unlocks the other 19 sounds and the study tools described below. No subscription.

QUIZ YOURSELF

Choose which murmurs you want in the pool - everything, one of the built-in sets, your favorites, or a handful you pick - then choose how many questions and start. Five for a quick drill, twenty when you have time. Answer from six options, or name it yourself and score your own recall.

Switch on re-asking and a murmur you miss comes back a few questions later, because that is the one you needed to hear again. At the end you get your score and, more usefully, the list of what you missed - with a button to practice exactly those. Every murmur keeps its own record, so the app can show you where you are weak and build a session out of it.

Headphones are strongly recommended. Phone speakers roll off the low frequencies that carry S3, S4 and mitral stenosis.

Heart Murmurs Pro is an educational tool for learning cardiac auscultation. It is not a diagnostic device and must not be used to diagnose or treat anyone, or to guide decisions about a patient's care. Always defer to your training, your supervisors, and your institution's protocols.

REDRAWN WAVEFORMS
Every one of the 24 sounds now has a properly labelled waveform. Systole and diastole are marked, and S1, S2, A2, P2, ejection clicks, opening snaps and gallops appear where they actually occur in the cycle. Each one was reviewed against the clinical description of the murmur it belongs to.

A BETTER QUIZ
One screen instead of three: pick your murmurs, pick how many questions, start. Question count is no longer tied to how many sounds you chose, so a five-question drill is finally possible — and you can switch on re-asking, which brings a murmur you miss back later in the same run. Six options per question now. Your results list what you missed and offer to practice just those, and every murmur keeps its own record so you can see where you are weak.
